Former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum is testing the presidential waters, making repeated trips to New Hampshire, Iowa, and South Carolina in recent months.
The Washington Post reports that the conservative Republican has been in New Hampshire seven times since April and made seven trips to both Iowa and South Carolina.

Santorum told The Post, “I’m feeling that doors are opening. Things are happening that maybe give me the impression that maybe I need to look at this seriously.” Since being defeated in a reelection bid in 2006, Santorum has contributed to Fox News and is a Senior Fellow at the Ethics and Public Policy Center.
Santorum told The Post that he will not make a decision on launching a run for the presidency until 2011. However, according to The Post, Santorum’s political action committee raised almost $1.4 million this year, mostly in small contributions.
