Most Republicans support the tax deal negotiated with President Barack Obama. But some fiscal conservatives don’t, saying the agreement expands the deficit too much, and ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is one of them, The Hill reports.

“Obviously Obama is so very, very wrong on the economy & spins GOP tax cut goals; so fiscal conservatives: we expect you to fight for us & America’s solvency,” she wrote in a series of postings on Twitter.
Palin isn’t alone of course. “It raises taxes — it raises the death tax,” Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., said Tuesday on the Hugh Hewitt radio show. “I don’t think we needed to negotiate that aspect of this thing away. I don’t think we need to extend unemployment any further without paying for it.”
