Palin Opposes Tax Cut Deal

Most Republicans support the tax deal negotiated with President Barack Obama. But some fiscal conservatives don’t, saying the agreement expands the deficit too much, and ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin is one of them, The Hill reports

palin, tax, cuts“Obviously Obama is so very, very wrong on the economy & spins GOP tax cut goals; so fiscal conservatives: we expect you to fight for us & America’s solvency,” she wrote in a series of postings on Twitter. 

Palin isn’t alone of course. “It raises taxes — it raises the death tax,” Sen. Jim DeMint, R-S.C., said Tuesday on the Hugh Hewitt radio show. “I don’t think we needed to negotiate that aspect of this thing away. I don’t think we need to extend unemployment any further without paying for it.”
