Sarah Palin cites Newsmax on her Facebook page for its article reporting that the Obama administration is targeting the military for pay reductions.
Sunday’s Newsmax story, headlined “Outrage: Obama Administration Targets Military for Pay Reductions,”
disclosed: “President Barack Obama — who came to power with the help of government employee unions across the nation and has lavished on them hundreds of billions in stimulus funds to keep them on federal, state and local payrolls with no strings attached — is moving to cut spending on salaries for military personnel . . .
“The Pentagon contends that Congress simply has been too generous with troops during the past decade.”
The former Republican vice presidential candidate provided a link to the article, and stated: “Soldier pay decreases in the midst of overspending elsewhere and government pay raises? Seriously? What are our priorities?”
More than 15,000 of Palin’s Facebook fans have interacted with her post on the Newsmax report.
Palin is a fan of Newsmax. When Fox News’ Sean Hannity asked her what she reads regularly, she listed Newsmax first.
And in an exclusive interview with Newsmax in November, she said: "Let me start off by thanking you [Newsmax] so much for your daily updates. If it weren't for Newsmax, there'd be a lot of us wondering what the heck was going on that day . . . it is very valuable, very helpful, and I appreciate all that you guys are doing to get a good message out there."
