President Barack Obama and Republicans have found something on which they can agree: The killing of al-Qaida terrorist kingpin Osama bin Laden doesn’t ensure his re-election, Obama acknowledged Thursday,
The Hill reports. "No, not at all," Obama told Univision affiliate WLTV in Miami when asked whether that’s the case.

Like Republicans, the president believes the state of the economy and the job market will determine the election outcome.
"I think in politics, the people are definitely thinking about the economy, high gas prices, unemployment is still high,” Obama said. “So we need to keep making important progress on those fronts and for the Latino community," the president said.
"Those are issues that I think are keeping people up at night, day to day, and I want to make sure they know that we’ve got a strong track record in dealing with those issues."
