WASHINGTON — President Barack Obama told a Jewish group that his administration has done more than any other to support Israel and insisted that his commitment to Israel is unshakable.
Obama has come under persistent attack from Republicans heading into the 2012 election who say he hasn't done enough for Israel.
But he said Friday at a conference of the Union for Reform Judaism that his administration has been there for Israel, at the United Nations and elsewhere.
"Don't let anyone else tell you otherwise," he told the large gathering of North American Jews
