Christine O’Donnell, the Republican Delaware Senate candidate backed by the tea party, ripped her Republican opponent and the state and national GOP for mounting "a negative and nasty campaign" against her,
The Hill reports.

In an interview with the paper, she said, "My opponent knows this race has serious national implications, and they're scared," speaking of Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Castle.
"They went too negative too quickly. That's what I've been hearing from voters all day today."
Meanwhile, Castle went after the Tea Party Express for its $300,000 in financial support for O’Donnell. "This is the first election I can remember in Delaware where a campaign is being funded almost entirely by out-of-state interests," he said.
The state Republican Party has repeatedly attacked O'Donnell in recent days. Party Chairman Tom Ross judged her unelectable.
