Accusations that the Obama administration acted unethically in its support of failed solar panel maker Solyndra and wireless start-up LightSquared have drawn the attention of California GOP Rep. Darrell Issa, chairman of the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.

Issa said today that his committee plans to investigate government loan programs for private corporations. Solyndra received a government loan guarantee.
"I want to see when the president and his cronies are picking winners and losers . . . it wasn't because there were large contributions given to them," Issa said on CSPAN.
The committee is examining the propriety of members of Congress or White House officials choosing companies as eligible for government subsidized loans when those companies can make campaign donations.
