House Republican leaders are preparing for the onslaught of new GOP members likely to join the body after Election Day, seeking to place experienced hands on the staffs of the newbies. Minority Leader John Boehner, Minority Whip Eric Cantor

Roll Call reports.

The group has assembled a roster of 75-80 potential chiefs of staff, including people already working on Capitol Hill and lobbyists, knowledgeable Republicans tell Roll Call.
“There will be a lot of new, energetic Republicans coming to town — some of whom will have staff, others who will begin to assemble their teams,” Cantor spokesman Brad Dayspring says. “There’s a lot of important work to get done right out of the gate, so it’s important that newly elected Republicans have access to experienced, competent staff so that they can hit the ground running.”
