Donald Trump plans to reveal today whether he will re-up for another “Apprentice” season or pass on that to set the stage for him to seek the Republican nomination to fire President Barack Obama in the 2012 election. The billionaire real estate magnate is to meet with NBC execs this morning to give them his final decision, according to the New York Post.

Donald trump“He’s really torn,” the Post quoted a source as saying. “But he can’t do both.”

Trump, who previously had said he would announce his political plans on or after the seaon finale of “Celebrity Apprentice” May 22, has been visited and/or called by several top NBC and even “Apprentice” creator Mark Burnett trying to persuade him to forego politics and stay on the show, the Post reported.

NBC honchos had given Trump a deadline of today to announce his decision, because they plan to announce their fall lineup today and wanted to know whether to include the “Apprentice” franchise. The peacock network reportedly offered Trump $60 million to stay on.
