The Democrats may not be long in power, and they’ll apparently do their best to advance the liberal agenda while they can. They may force 20 bills into the lame-duck session that will be held after the Nov. 2 elections and before the new Congress convenes, The Hill reports.

Congress, lame, duck, Republicans, Democrats, liberal, agendaIf Republicans regain control of Congress in the elections, as many expect, the lame-duck session will afford Democrats one more opportunity to turn their dreams into law.

Fortunately for Republicans, given the Senate’s laborious process to pass legislation, Democrats will be lucky to even get a small part of their lame-duck agenda approved.

The issues include Bush-era tax cuts and the military’s “don’t ask don’t tell” policy.
