Chamber of Commerce Prez Blasts Obama

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce played a vital role in financing Republicans’ massive victory in this month’s congressional elections. Chamber President Tom Donohue says the group is now prepared to work with the Obama administration, but has harsh criticism for the president’s onslaught of regulations, The Hill reports.

“The biggest single threat to job creation facing us today is a regulatory tsunami of unprecedented force,” Donohue says, citing healthcare and financial regulatory reform as examples.

And he vows a fight from the chamber. “We have never seen anything on this scale before. It defies all logic and common sense. We cannot allow this nation to move from a government of the people to a government of regulators. And we’re going to be engaged in this fight for years to come.”
