House Speaker John Boehner may have turned down invitations from President Barack Obama for a flight to Tucson aboard Air Force One and a White House state dinner with China’s president. But he’d be willing to hang out with Obama for 18 holes of golf,
Politico reports.

Boehner tells Fox News "of course" he would be willing to play a round with the president. "Would you give him a handicap? He's not as good a golfer as you" Fox commentator Chris Wallace asked Boehner. The speaker responded, "I'm sure I'll have to give him a few strokes."
Outgoing White House adviser David Axelrod told Bloomberg TV last week that chances are “good” for a golf outing between Obama and Boehner. Obama wants to cooperate with Republicans, "even to the point that he’d play golf with a guy who has a much lower handicap than he does," Axelrod says.
