Boehner: House Will ‘Forge Ahead’ With Bid to Cut Spending

 House Speaker John Boehner said he was “disappointed” at the supercommittee’s failure to reach a deficit-cutting agreement, though he pledged the House would push ahead with efforts to reduce spending. Boehner, an Ohio Republican, said in an e-mailed statement that the supercommittee put “greater focus” on the fiscal challenges facing the U.S.
