B Vitamins, Antioxidants Protect Against Cancer

Russell Blaylock, M.D. By Friday, 02 January 2015 03:58 PM EST Current | Bio | Archive

The latest thinking in cancer research is that we should supply stromal cells with more B vitamins and antioxidants to protect them against cancer stem cells.

Because the number one source of free radicals is inflammation, blocking that process should drastically slow the growth of most human tumors and retard their spread throughout the body.

In fact, in some studies, using powerful anti-inflammatory and antioxidant natural extracts can prevent metastasis of even very aggressive human cancers — at least in animal models.

Keep in mind that this new advice is just the opposite of what most oncologists have been telling their patients — that they should avoid all antioxidants, including vitamins and plant extracts, as those substances might interfere with their treatment.

Based on extensive review of studies, I have concluded that conventional treatments are often not successful in killing the cancer, and can even make cancer more aggressive and thus more deadly.

Consequently, once the cancer recurs, the patient will die much faster.
