President Obama uses victims to promote his agenda. But big government has created more victims than any other tragedy in America. We need to relieve their suffering by putting government back into its proper boundaries: big government control.
We’re urged to honor victims by passing certain laws; but it’s done selectively to promote liberal agendas. The millions who are victims of big government are ignored. They deserve our attention. They deserve a vote on big government control.
Sympathy is important but it should not govern what laws we enact.
President Obama expressed outrage because gun controls weren’t approved by the Senate as urged by families of those killed at Sandy Hook Elementary. Although the proposals would have done nothing to avert that tragedy, Obama wants us to honor liberal values that are common in Newtown, Conn.
But some victims are political opposites. Families from the Oklahoma City bombing had a different political agenda — strengthening the death penalty. Would Obama support that request from the survivors of 168 who were killed?
And how about the millions of victims of Obamanomics? Those Americans are out of work or in low-end jobs. Still more have been hit by dramatic drops in their income. It’s due to a bad economy made worse by high taxes, over-regulation, and new job-killing laws like Obamacare.
If we really care about victims, let’s not overlook the victims of big government. They don’t get free trips on Air Force One — but they sure do pay for them.
