Little babies, African-Americans and women have lost a good friend in Nellie Gray. For those who knew her, Nellie could be depended upon to be loyal to the core when she embraced a truth.
Early in this century, Nellie included the voices of the women of the Silent No More Awareness Campaign and the African-American community in the fight for life; all as part of the March for Life.

Nellie Gray was the founder and chief organizer of the annual anti-abortion march on Washington and a key figure in efforts to overturn the Supreme Court decision legalizing abortion. She was 86.

The precious moments on stage with the gathered marchers are always very coveted. Many would deeply appreciate just a moment to speak before the multitudes at the annual March for Life in January on or near the Jan. 22 anniversary of the Roe vs. Wade Supreme Court decision.
After experiencing the deep honor of joining Pastor Luke Robinson and other African-Americans on stage to deliver the message of how abortion is black genocide at the annual March for Life; and after standing with Janet Morana and Georgette Forney and the growing numbers of Silent No More Awareness partners on stage at the march every year to proclaim that we will be silent no more regarding the harm abortion does to women; I can only say that I thank God for Nellie Gray.
We will miss Nellie. I believe she would want us to march on for life until the victory is won.
The greatest tribute we can give to Nellie, along with our prayers of thanksgiving for her life, legend and legacy, is to increase the numbers at the March for Life 2013.
