When Sarah Palin had thoughts of running for president after her 2008 defeat, it could be assumed she never imagined another female Republican would crowd her space among the GOP faithful.

Enter Rep. Michele Bachmann. As The Washington Post recently reported, she "appears to be moving aggressively toward a presidential candidacy." That means that these two could soon become Republican rivals as they compete for GOP votes.

The similarities are striking. Both have been singing the same tune about our huge deficit; about how Obamacare must be defunded; about how we must be less reliant on foreign oil.
