A day after authorities seized 600,000 synthetic drug pills in a raid in southern Quebec, police on Wednesday launched a second operation targeting a Hells Angels trafficking network in the province,
CBC News reported.
Wednesday’s raids began around 5:00 AM, with approximately 235 officers from local police forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police carrying out search warrants in 16 locations in Sherbrooke, in the Eastern Townships.
Twenty-eight people have been arrested thus far, at least one of whom had been identified as a member of the gang. Aurelie Guindon, a representative of the Quebec provincial police, said the drug ring was managed by Hells Angels members and sold cocaine, methamphetamine, and marijuana.
