FARC guerrillas who captured a Colombian general and four other people will release the prisoners next week, president Juan Manuel Santos said Saturday.

"I am giving instructions to facilitate their liberation next week," Santos said in a Twitter message, after the kidnappings derailed lengthy peace talks between the government and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia (FARC).
