Canadian police were hunting Thursday for two suspects who stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of hockey sticks from a local store.
Police said the men loaded up a stolen white van with 128 Bauer and CCM hockey sticks, each retailing for about Can$300, from a sporting goods store in Gatineau, Quebec just outside Ottawa.
The total value of the loot is estimated to be Can$38,000 (US$30,700).
The pair reportedly came through the front door while the store was closed using a special locksmith tool and were gone in less than four minutes.
They are suspected of having failed in a previous attempt to break into the store a week earlier.
