Mideast terror groups are warning that it would be an act of war if President Barack Obama visits the Temple Mount during his visit later this month to Israel.

Hamas and the Islamic Jihad issued warnings last week following speculation in the Palestinian Authority press that Obama planned such a visit, according to a report in the Israeli news network Arutz Sheva.

Hamas official Mushir al-Masri called for a third intifada should Obama visit the site and called for Egypt to aid the “resistance.”

The location is the holiest site in Judaism. Muslims believe the site is where the Prophet Muhammad ascended to heaven.
