GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip — Palestinians say two Gaza militants have been killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Palestinian territory.
Gaza's Hamas rulers reported in a text message to reporters that one of the men was a member of the group's military wing. The Popular Resistance Committees said in an e-mail that the second man was from its ranks.
The Israeli military confirmed a strike on Monday but had no further details.
The attack followed an air attack earlier in the day that the military said was carried out in response to mortar fire at a military patrol in northern Gaza. No casualties were reported in that attack.
