Vice President Mike Pence said Friday that North Korea's announcement that it would suspend its nuclear and missile testing was "welcome news" — adding that "maximum pressure is working" on dictator Kim Jong Un.
"The American people and our allies know we would not be at this point without the strong leadership" of President Donald Trump, the Republican said in his post on Twitter.
The United States "will keep the pressure on North Korea as plans for the summit continue," Pence added. "America standing strong."
