MOSCOW — Russia's defense ministry said on Friday that Britain was involved in a suspected chemical attack in the Syrian town of Douma, which was carried out last weekend.

"We have ... evidence that proves Britain was directly involved in organising this provocation," defense ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said during a televised briefing.
