Russia does not rule out deploying missiles armed with nuclear warheads in response to the U.S. deployment of missiles in Germany, the Interfax news agency cited Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov as saying Thursday.

The United States will start deploying long-range fire capabilities in Germany in 2026 in an effort to demonstrate its commitment to NATO and European defense, the countries said in a joint statement last week.
