Russia's defense ministry said on Sunday that Ukraine had struck the Russian-annexed city of Sevastopol on the Crimean peninsula with five ATACMS missiles.

Four of the missiles were shot down by air defense systems while the warhead of the fifth missile exploded in mid-air, the defense ministry said.
