Israeli doctors are using the placentas of newborn babies to fight the coronavirus, using injections as a last-ditch treatment for critically ill COVID-19 patients battling for their lives.
The Haifa-based Pluristem Therapeutics biotherapy firm confirmed Monday it has treated three patients in two Israeli hospitals in Israel, under a compassionate-use program for the treatment of COVID-19.
