Egyptian President Mohammed Morsi’s attempts at economic reform have done almost nothing to improve conditions for Egypt’s 82 million people and, in the words of a former finance minister “show no vision whatsoever.” Egypt is sinking fast. The only thing that could help would be a major loan from the International Monetary Fund. But Morsi may not be willing to do what it would take to get it.
