Israeli President Isaac Herzog revealed Sunday that materials found on the bodies of Hamas militants included a how-to guide for weapons of mass destruction.
Sitting down for an interview on Sky News, Herzog said a USB key found on the body of a Hamas militant involved in the Oct. 7 massacre was found to contain detailed instructions on creating chemical weapons.
"It's al-Qaida material, official al-Qaida material," Herzog said. "When dealing with ISIS, al-Qaida, and Hamas, this is what we're dealing with. And in this material, there were instructions on how to produce chemical weapons."
Israel National News noted that the manual, dated 2003, contained precise details for the preparation of a device presumably used to disperse cyanide agents.
On Saturday, Axios had reported that Israeli officials sent a classified cable to their embassies worldwide under the headline: "Hamas intention of using chemical weapons."
It indicates a connection between al-Qaida and Hamas, as well as the Iran-backed group's potential intention of using chemical weapons to cause mass casualties.
"What we went through is evil," Herzog continued in his interview. "We have to uproot it. And when you uproot evil, we see people supporting evil. You see them in demonstrations in London or anywhere else in the world."
Other findings from the Hamas terrorists responsible for killing hundreds of civilians earlier this month included ISIS flags, documented plans to target a school, and instructions on how to torture those kidnapped, per The Times of Israel.
