The governments of Israel, Argentina, and the United States on Sunday jointly announced the launch of the "Isaac Accords," a new trilateral and hemispheric strategic framework aimed at deepening cooperation on security, economic development, and democratic alignment across the Western Hemisphere.

The joint declaration, announced at a press conference in Jerusalem by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Argentine President Javier Milei, and U.S. Ambassador Mike Huckabee, describes the Isaac Accords as a platform for "strengthening cooperation between Argentina, Israel and like-minded partners in the Western Hemisphere."

Huckabee credited President Donald Trump as key to the new agreement as he has helped "change swords into plowshares."

Huckabee added that "there can't be plowshares unless there are swords," arguing that Trump's strength has created conditions for peace.

The ambassador described the Isaac Accords as "an extraordinary opportunity" for Israel and Argentina to do something that would change "the Western Hemisphere, the Middle East, and the rest of the world."

The move marks a significant geopolitical initiative unveiled in Jerusalem that officials say is designed to counter terrorism, antisemitism, and transnational crime while strengthening ties among like-minded nations rooted in shared values.

The document emphasizes coordinated efforts against terrorist organizations, with a particular focus on Iran's expanding operational footprint and influence networks in Latin America.

Netanyahu, speaking at the announcement, framed the agreement as part of a broader ideological and strategic realignment.

"I mentioned the United States, Israel and Argentina, but there are others who champion freedom. We see this with some hope, even great hope vis-à-vis the Latin American continent," the Prime Minister said.

He added that the initiative could serve as both a model and a catalyst for wider regional transformation.

Netanyahu said, "We've seen enormous change in Argentina but I think that this is also a compass and a map for other countries, not only for their internal reforms but also for their external reforms, that is coming back to the alliance of freedom."

The agreement explicitly draws inspiration from the Abraham Accords brokered during the Trump administration.

The Isaac Accords extend a similar framework into the Western Hemisphere by linking security cooperation with economic integration and diplomatic coordination, while positioning Argentina under Milei as a central driver of this new initiative.

Argentine President Javier Milei, credited in the declaration as the originator of the concept, has been described by Israeli officials as "a leading voice for freedom and hope in the region."

The accord reflects his administration's broader foreign policy shift toward closer ties with Israel and the United States, as well as a more assertive stance against authoritarian regimes and extremist networks operating across Latin America.

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Sa'ar emphasized the strategic necessity of expanding coordinated responses to shared threats, highlighting the importance of unified action against terrorism and antisemitism while also advancing economic and technological partnerships.

Sa'ar said the accord can reinforce long-term stability and prosperity among participating countries.

Officials from all three countries said the Isaac Accords are intended to remain open-ended, inviting additional nations that share similar commitments to democratic governance, security cooperation, and economic openness to join over time.
