Hamas senior official Sami Abu Zuhri told Reuters on Wednesday that an alliance with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu from any party is a "treason to the blood of martyrs."

In his speech addressing the U.S. Congress earlier on Wednesday, Netanyahu said the U.S. and Israel can forge a security alliance in the Middle East to counter an Iranian "threat," saying that all countries which will make peace with Israel should join such an alliance.
