Polish Bus Carrying Children Overturns in Northern Serbia

BELGRADE, Serbia (AP) — Serbian police say a Polish bus carrying children has swerved off the road and overturned in northern Serbia, injuring a number of children.

The statement says the crash happened at 0740 GMT (3:40 a.m. EDT) Tuesday near the village of Feketic, about 100 kilometers (60 miles) northwest of Belgrade.

Police say the bus had Polish license plates. Authorities say that several ambulances and emergency vehicles have been sent to the scene. No other details were immediately available.
