WARSAW, Poland (AP) — Poland's foreign minister says a European Union document criticizing the actions of the government in Warsaw is merely a non-binding "opinion, a suggestion."
A day after the European Commission criticized some of the conservative government's recent moves, which have paralyzed the country's Constitutional Tribunal, Foreign Minister Witold Waszczykowski dismissed the document of some 20 pages.
"What right the Commission has to judge anything?" Waszczykowski said on state radio Thursday.
He spoke just hours before meeting with EU foreign affairs chief Federica Mogherini, who is also meeting with Poland's president and prime minister.
