Egypt Prosecutor Orders 8 Detained After Fatal Train Crash

Authorities have ordered detained the drivers of the two trains that collided over the weekend in Upper Egypt, killing 19 people, the country’s top prosecutor said in a statement.

Another six people also were ordered detained amid investigations into what caused the crash. The accident has fueled new calls for reform of the country’s railroad sector.
