LIGNET: US Should Not Cut Off Aid to Egypt, Judith Miller Says

In an exclusive interview with LIGNET, veteran journalist Judith Miller says it’s too late for the United States to promote democracy in Egypt and says President Mohammed Morsi and his Muslim Brotherhood supporters are exploiting the new democratic system to hold what will probably be a single election to cement their hold on power. Even so, she says she doesn’t think the United States should cut off military aid as long as Egypt supports the peace treaty with Israel.
