HONG KONG (AP) — President Donald Trump is the inspiration for "Trump on Show," a four-day Cantonese comedic opera that reimagines the president's personal life and his fictional twin brother who lives in China.
The three-hour show opens with America's first family moving into the White House, where Trump's daughter Ivanka discovers an old suitcase. Inside she finds an English version of "The Little Red Book," which contains quotations by Mao Zedong, the founding chairman of modern communist China.
The opera runs in Hong Kong until Monday.
Playwright Li Kui-Ming says the show uses current political characters to grab the audience's attention.
He hopes that one day, "Trump on Show" could even be performed at the White House or in Pyongyang for Kim Jong Un, who is hosted by Trump on the stage.
