Last week’s indictment of two men in a plot to export U.S. nuclear technology to Iran via Hong Kong revealed the sophistication of Iran ’s covert procurement network and was a troubling sign that Iranian agents have been able to evade stepped-up U.S. port security. It also indicates that tensions with Iran have not lessened and are not likely to lessen anytime soon, making the near-term possibility of an Israeli airstrike more likely.
