ISTANBUL — Turkish media say seven members of the security forces have been killed in an explosion in an eastern province.
Turkey's Dogan news agency reports that the blast occurred Tuesday in the eastern city of Tunceli. The explosion hit a vehicle carrying the security forces, according to reports.
Kurdish rebels are active in the area. Fighting between the rebels and Turkish forces has escalated in recent months.
