THE HAGUE, Netherlands (AP) — The International Court of Justice is set to rule on Ukraine's request for orders to Russia to stop funding and arming pro-Moscow rebels in eastern Ukraine and to end discrimination against minorities in Crimea.

At hearings last month, Ukraine accused Russia of sponsoring terrorism by providing funds and weapons to rebels in Ukraine and of discriminating against ethnic Tatars and others in Crimea.

Lawyers for Russia rejected the allegations and accused Ukraine of attempting to draw the U.N. court into a dispute beyond its jurisdiction.

The case is likely to take years to resolve. Pending the final outcome, Ukraine requested "provisional measures" including court orders for Russia to end discrimination in Crimea and to halt its support for rebels in Ukraine.

Judges are ruling on those requests later Wednesday.
