French Police: Shots Have Been Fired at Southern High School

Thursday, 16 March 2017 08:38 AM EDT

PARIS (AP) — French police say there has been a shooting in a high school in the southern town of Grasse. Officials are still trying to determine whether there are any casualties.

The shooting at the high school in Grasse comes as France remains in a state of emergency following deadly attacks in Paris in 2015 and an attack last year in the city of Nice, which is 40 kilometers (25 miles) away from Grasse.
