BEIJING — Part of a six-story residential building in China’s northern Hebei province collapsed after an explosion Saturday, injuring at least 27 people, the official Xinhua News Agency reported, citing local authorities.
Three were in a critical condition, Xinhua said, citing an unidentified spokesman with the local government in Baoding. Rescue work is still under way and the cause of the accident is being investigated, the report said.
The blast occurred at around 3 p.m. local time, shattering window glass of buildings 200 meters away, Xinhua reported.
