Indian Prime Minister Modi Plays Drums in Tanzania

DAR ES SALAAM, Tanzania (AP) — Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi beat large African drums with Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli during a ceremony to welcome Modi to the East African country Sunday.

Modi spoke to a press conference after inspecting a guard of honor at State House, the official residence of the Tanzanian leader. Modi will sign trade agreements with Tanzania and meet with members of the Indian community. He is scheduled to leave for Nairobi Sunday afternoon.
