Donald Trump says he will meet with the editorial brass of the Conde Nast magazine empire Friday after Vogue editrix Anna Wintour appeared at Trump Tower to ask him for the powwow.
In a tweet posted shortly after 9 Friday morning, the president-elect announced:
Wintour's personal pitch on behalf of Conde Nast shows how powerful the 67-year-old journalist is in the media world.
One of the most well-known magazine bosses in the United States, Wintour was said to be the inspiration for the bestselling book and hit movie, "The Devil Wears Prada."
Reaction on Twitter to Trump's announcement of the meet-up was mixed:
Trump made no indication of what will be discussed at the meeting, which is expected to take place at the Conde Nast Building in New York City's Times Square.
