Donald Trump's name appears to have been added to a history course on slavery being taught at Loyola, one of the nation's leading Catholic universities, The College Fix reports.
According to Loyola University Chicago, "Slavery and Abolition Then and Now" introduces "students to the long durée of global slavery as a means to convey slavery's ubiquity across time and space."
But the campus group Black Students Matter LUC is quoting an unnamed instructor involved with the course as saying it's been revised to include "the racist rhetoric and conspiracy theories that the Trump campaign has revived in our political culture."
Black Students Matter said of the change, "The history department is starting to diversify their course offerings."
The College Fix said John Donoghue, an expert in the Atlantic slave trade who teaches the course, declined to answer questions and the university did not respond to requests for comment.
