Milwaukee Sheriff David Clarke — who'd been under consideration for a Homeland Security job with the Trump administration — got a book plug from the president early Sunday.

President Donald Trump tweeted his praise for "a great book by a great guy" and then provided a link from Clarke to buy "Cop Under Fire."

Clarke has been a staunch Trump loyalist and was at one time in the running for a Homeland Security appointment. before withdrawing amid accusations of alleged plagiarism in his master's thesis, a charge the sheriff vehemently denied.
