President Donald Trump on Wednesday donated his second-quarter paycheck of $100,000 to the Department of Education, The Hill reports.
"The President is committed to our nation's students and to reforming education in America so that every child, no matter their zip code, has access to a high-quality education," Education Secretary Betsy DeVos said.
The donation will be used to host a science, technology, engineering and mathematics camp for students at the DOE.
"We want to encourage as many students as possible to pursue STEM fields," DeVos said.
Trump, who donated his first-quarter salary to the National Park Service, has proposed slashing the Education Department budget by $9.2 billion in 2018.
Trump campaigned on a promise to donate his salary to various organizations.
