Ted Cruz Fires Back at 'Cynical' NY Times Reporter

Sen. Ted Cruz responded to a New York Times reporter who criticized him and a fellow GOP senator for their statements on the terror attack in Charlottesville, Va., this past weekend.

Cruz had tweeted a statement Saturday night repudiating the attack and singling out "the Nazis, the KKK, and white supremacists" and "repulsive and evil."

Eric Lipton suggested Cruz was not being genuine.

Sorry to be cynical, but most of all Rubio and Ted Cruz to me seem mostly to be doing a tremendous job of posturing for 2020.

Lipton, has been accused of bias due to his tweet about Ivanka Trump from shortly after the election, which the paper's public editor Liz Spayd admitted were "outrageous."
