Perhaps as a way of extending an olive branch, White House press secretary Sean Spicer on Wednesday took the first question of his daily briefing from the reporter with whom he sparred one day before.
On Tuesday, Spicer and April Ryan had a testy exchange that culminated with the press secretary telling the correspondent from American Urban Radio Networks to "stop shaking your head."
The exchange went viral on social media, with many prominent women leaders — including Hillary Clinton — chastising Spicer for belittling a grown woman.
Story continues below video.
On Wednesday, Spicer called on Ryan first during the question and answer portion of the briefing:
Sean: "April?"
Ryan: "Thank you, Sean."
Spicer: "How are you today?"
Ryan: "I'm fine, how are you?"
Spicer: "Fantastic."
