Oprah Winfrey would defeat Donald Trump in California by 56-32 percent if she entered the 2020 race, a new KPIX-Survey/USA Today poll reveals.

Here is how the California poll breaks down, according to figures from the San Francisco Chronicle:

  • 56 percent of those surveyed would also vote for Oprah if actor Tom Hanks was on the ticket as a vice presidential nominee, 31 percent would vote for Trump.
  • 53 percent would vote for Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., if she was the Democrat candidate, and 32 percent would vote for Trump.
  • 53 percent would vote in favor of Sen. Kamala Harris, D-Calif., if she was the candidate, while 33 percent would favor Trump.

The poll, conducted Jan. 7-9, surveyed 909 California voters. It has a margin of error of 3.3 percentage points.
