A scary moment occurred Tuesday during a Philadelphia mayoral debate when candidate Lynne Abraham passed out,
The Washington Post reported.
Abraham, 74, who served as the city's district attorney from 1991 to 2010, quickly came out of it, and her campaign posted on social media photos of her looking robust and ready to speak with the press after the debate was over.
On Wednesday,
a Twitter post noted she was "up and running" at another mayoral forum event held in advance of the city's May 19 primary.
A doctor who examined Abraham on Tuesday blamed her passing out on a bout of low blood pressure,
philly.com reported.
It noted she collapsed at a lectern about seven minutes into the debate. She quickly came to and was ushered backstage where she received medical attention.
Abraham spoke with reporters and gave a thumbs-up that she was fine.
"I'm embarrassed, but I'm quite well," she said.
But political consultants noted the incident might not play well with voters concerned over her age.
"The last thing a 74-year-old candidate needs to have happen is to collapse in a debate," consultant Ken Smukler told Philly.com. "I don't know how you spin your way out of this."
